The Winter Walk Pattern is Here!

Today is the day!

The pattern has just been released and is now in my ETSY shop – woohoo! You can also find it in my Ravelry store too.

UK and US Versions

The other good news is that there are TWO VERSIONS. One is written in UK terms and one in US terms.

You can choose which version to buy if you are on Etsy, as they are in separate listings. (Make sure you pick the right one for you).

And in Ravelry, both versions are merged into the one pattern bundle, so you can choose which one to download once you’ve purchased it.

I know that many of you lovely people have already bought the yarn for this blanket and are sitting with hook at the ready. So I’m delighted that I can bring it to you right on time, on the promised date despite a very annoying power cut which threatened my wifi connection over the weekend.

Video Tutorials

As usual, the written pattern is backed up by eight video tutorials on my You Tube channel, where I take you through each section very carefully, step by step. I think you will find these really helpful, especially if you’re a beginner to crochet. You’ll find the link to these videos in the pattern.

I’ve had such a good time creating this pattern for you. From choosing the winter themed colour palette, to working out the stitch combinations and including some embroidery in it too, it was a joy every step of the way. I can definitely say it’s my favourite design to date! You can read more about how it came about here .

It’s over to you now, and I hope you enjoy it just as much,

  1. My dear Marion, I am 66 years old and have been crocheting for too many years to count. I have made many afgan’s in my day but have purposely avoided the dreaded granny square. I have always been just a wee put off by the amount of effort required for very little product produced. Plus the holes. I do not care for blankets in which my toes poke out.
That being said I have been in love with the Winter Walk blanket from the moment that I first laid eyes on it. The colors work so beautifully together and the way you have designed the blanket is stunning. You are truly a gifted woman.
I started the project about a week ago and at the moment I am just learning how to attach the mini squares. I have never done anything like this before so it is a whole new world for me. Between your video tutorials and the printed directions I have been able to get the job done. Listening to your lovely lilting voice is a pleasure as you guide me through the required steps. Thank you so much for sharing this little treasure with the world.
