Hello. My name is Marion Mitchell. I’m a textile artist, embroiderer and more recently, crochet designer — as Wool Thread Paint.
I live in a little farm cottage near the beach, on the east coast of Scotland, with my artist husband.
Many years ago, I developed my love of textiles at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, where I graduated in Printed Textiles and Embroidery.
A busy working life included teaching and lecturing, and growing our family design business Wee Wishes — as well as our family!
But now I’m happily retired and devoting my time to crochet, especially blankets, which I love to create as an artist would a painting, with the emphasis very strongly on colour.
Now I’m delighted to be able to share my creations in the form of patterns for everyone to enjoy.
